Material Description

MasterFiber 158 is a 100% polyolefin fiber (polypropylene type) specially designed for use in the structural reinforcement of concrete and shotcrete.

Areas of Application

MasterFiber 158 is used wherever an improvement in concrete ductility is required, as well as effective control of shrinkage cracking.

It is used for the following applications:

Shotcrete

• As a replacement for reinforcing mesh or metal fiber.

Pavements

• As a replacement for distribution mesh—to control shrinkage cracking.

Precast Elements

• As a replacement for structural mesh (total or partial).

MasterFiber 158 can also be used in reinforced concrete, as it is compatible with steel and does not reduce the bond between the reinforcement and the concrete.
