Why Cement Additives?

How Do MasterCem Cement Additives Work?

MasterCem grinding aids reduce the agglomeration forces between the particles during grinding. This increases throughput and increases the efficiency of the mill. At the same time, the flow properties of the fine cement powder are optimized.

MasterCem additives to improve cement properties (performance enhancers) go one step further and influence the chemical reactions during the hydration of cement. This allows them to control its properties for use in concrete or mortar. This enables the clinker content to be reduced, the addition of composite materials to be increased and the fineness to be optimized. All of these measures contribute to reducing the CO₂ emissions associated with the production of cement.
