Sakarya – February 19, 2026 – Speaking at the Global TBM Workshop 2026 held in Sakarya, Suat Seven, General Manager of MBT Teknik Yapı Kimyasalları, said: "We aim to make Turkey a regional center of expertise in the field of TBM technologies and underground construction chemicals."
Organized by Master Builders Solutions, the Global TBM Workshop 2026 was hosted by its Turkish partner, MBT Teknik Yapı Kimyasalları, in Sakarya between February 17-19. Bringing together international experts from the tunneling industry and TBM professionals operating in Turkey, the event provided a platform for sharing knowledge and technical expertise.
Under the organization of Master Builders Solutions, which has a 100-year history in the construction chemicals sector, participants conducted hands-on work at training stations established at MBT Teknik's factory in Ferizli. Greases, soil conditioners, slurry applications, backfill grout systems, segment concrete production, segment repair, and injection applications were among the main technical topics of the program. Participants experienced real-field applications firsthand and actively took part in interactive tests.
One of the standout sessions of the program was presented by Prof. Dr. Nuh Bilgin, President of the Turkish Tunneling Society. In his presentation titled "Tunneling in Challenging Ground Conditions in Turkey," Bilgin shared his technical evaluations and field experiences regarding tunnel projects carried out in diverse geological conditions.
Evaluating the event, Suat Seven, General Manager of MBT Teknik Yapı Kimyasalları, emphasized that this workshop went beyond a mere product promotion and announced that they would resolutely continue their technical training and R&D investments.
Leading the organization of the workshop in Turkey, Mehmet Demirtaş, Turkish Contractors Manager at Master Builders Solutions, stated in his closing speech that the Global TBM Workshop 2026, which combined international expertise with Turkey's production and technical infrastructure, created a platform that strengthened cooperation.
