Patented admixture, addresses the workability challenges of concrete mixtures utilizing blended cements, supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) and challenging aggregates.
Facilitates concrete mixture design optimization, allowing for a reduction of the CO2 footprint and Global Warming Potential (GWP).
Significantly improves concrete rheology, providing handling robustness.
MasterEase 5000, a next-generation, patented polymer technology, is a water-reducing and conditioning admixture that improves concrete rheological properties, significantly facilitating its pumping, placing, consolidating, and finishing characteristics.
Significantly enhances the plastic properties of concrete
Master Builders Solutions has developed a groundbreaking admixture technology that significantly enhances the plastic properties of concrete, providing benefits to concrete producers and concrete contractors. This is particularly beneficial to overcome the challenges associated with working with blended cements, manufactured sands and crushed aggregates in low CO2 concrete mixtures.
Dr. Boris Gorella, CEO of Master Builders Solutions, stated: “I am proud of the groundbreaking technologies we are introducing to the market, tailored to meet specific local requirements. MasterEase 5000 exemplifies our commitment to pioneering innovative, localized solutions that drive decarbonization in the construction industry."
Acting as a conditioner, MasterEase 5000 admixture facilitates shorter mixing time, lower pumping pressure, better flowability, and a superior finish with fewer trowel passes, improving project economics.
“We are pleased to provide our concrete producer customers and contractors with the rheological benefits that the MasterEase 5000 admixture enables, making concrete easier to work with, especially when being challenged by raw materials in low CO2 concrete mixtures,“ said Dr. Bruce J. Christensen, President US & Canada, Master Builders Solutions.
Versatile use and improved workability retention
Developed for versatile use, MasterEase 5000 is recommended for use in both ready mixed concrete and precast concrete, offering flexibility for varied applications, including paving, slabs-on-ground, high rise structures, hollow core slabs, bridge girders and more. MasterEase 5000 can be used in concrete mixtures at all slump levels from dry cast to low slump to self-consolidating concrete.
"The improved rheology and extended workability are significant benefits for contractors aiming for accelerated job completion and better overall performance," says Serpil Boy Aral, Product Marketing Manager, Master Builders Solutions. "The improved concrete performance and the resulting acceleration of the work also help concrete producers and contractors optimize the use of truck fleets and minimize wear on mixers, pumps, and pipelines," says Boy Aral.
MasterEase 5000 is particularly beneficial in sustainable concrete mixtures, making them easier to produce and place. This helps engineers and architects improve the sustainability of their projects and reduce Global Warming Potential (GWP). Additionally, the possibility of further reducing water while maintaining concrete rheology creates new opportunities for optimizing concrete mixture designs.
The versatile MasterEase 5000 admixture can be used on its own or as a supplement to other water-reducing admixtures, offering flexibility for various applications. It meets the ASTM C494/C494M standards for Type A water-reducing admixtures.
