Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Boris Gorella
Boris Gorella, CEO of Master Builders Solutions, brings extensive experience to the construction chemicals industry. Appointed in May 2023 under the ownership of the international private equity firm Cinven, he has a successful career spanning decades, with notable roles including CEO of Pfleiderer Group (2021-2023, PE-owned) and Beckers Group (2011-2020, privately owned). Prior to this, he served as Head of BASF Construction Chemicals Business Unit in Asia Pacific and President of Evonik Construction Chemicals Business Unit in Asia, where he played a key role in the company's expansion (2001-2006). Boris has also worked with KKR and McKinsey, holding an MBA from INSEAD and a PhD in chemistry from TU Berlin.
Chief Financial Officer
Ib Jensen
Ib Jensen is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Master Builders Solutions. He has over 30 years of experience driving business transformations in corporations and private equity environments to ensure long-term value creation. Prior to joining Master Builders Solutions, he served as CFO at global companies such as Perstorp, Arxada, and Syngenta, where he led major mergers and acquisitions, drove strategic execution, guided change initiatives, and implemented performance improvement programs. Ib holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Banking and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. He has also completed executive education programs at IMD and INSEAD.
Chief Operating Officer & President APME
Dr. Karsten Eller
Karsten Eller brings more than 30 years of experience in the chemical industry to Master Builders Solutions and serves as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Master Builders Solutions, he held key management positions in the construction chemicals sector at Evonik/Degussa and BASF. Before that, he spent more than 10 years as COO of the Beckers Group, a privately held, globally active paint company specializing in coil coatings, where he also held key positions in specialty coatings and consumer design finishes. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Berlin and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Chemistry at Yale University.
Chief Technology Officer
Roberta Magarotto
Roberta Magarotto serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Master Builders Solutions, with global responsibility for the company’s technologies. Previously serving as Head of Research and Development, she successfully led R&D innovations and brings recognized technical knowledge and expertise to her role. As CTO, Roberta is focused on expanding the company’s solution offerings and strengthening collaboration across regions to ensure customers can benefit from Master Builders Solutions technologies worldwide.
